Team Analysis

Figure 1: A mixed bar chart comparing the number of victory games, the number of defeat games, and the winning rate for 17 LPL teams.

As we can see from Figure 1:

Team FPX and team EDG have the same number of victory games, but FPX has a higher winning rate due to its fewer game appearances, which means team FPX has more “2-0” match result.

Team V5 did not win a single game in any single match, which means all of its match results are “0-2”.

Note: About difference between match and game, please check in Introduction page.)

Figure 2: A line chart comparing the average number of kills, deaths, dragons, and barons in each game for 17 LPL teams.

As we can see from Figure 2:

The lines representing the average number of kills and deaths does not show drastic fluctuations, which means there is little difference in the level of bloodshed in each team’s game. Among them, the biggest average kills come from team FPX, which is 16.5 per game; the smallest average deaths come from team EDG, which is 10.6 per game.

The lines representing the average number of dragons and barons are basically straight, which means that, regardless of the team’s strength or weakness, each team pays the same attention to the control of the dragon and baron resources in each game.

At the same time, according to the initial appearance time and refresh time of the dragon and baron in the game, it can be roughly calculated that the average game length of each team is around 20 minutes, which is pretty fast.

Based on the analysis above, it can be briefly concluded that more than 20 heads(death plus kills) were generated within around 20 minutes, which can show the style of LPL is quite aggressive.

Note: The initial appearance time of the dragon is 5 minutes after the game starts, the refresh time is 300 seconds(5 minutes).

The initial appearance time of the baron is 20 minutes after the game starts, the refresh time is 360 seconds(6 minutes).
